Forester – Bureau of Land Management, Tillamook, OR

The Northwest Oregon District, Tillamook Field Office, is recruiting for a permanent Forester GS-0460-11 position. The position is established to plan, coordinate, and perform complex technical and leadership duties in support of forestry oriented, multiple use land management programs. The Forester serves as a work group member for the Field Office’s forest planning and timber sale preparation team. They perform work with logging systems, sale planning and layout, interdisciplinary (ID) team/EA work, and long-range forest management plans. They would work with team members in the technical aspects of logging systems, forest engineering, forest management planning, and documentation of NEPA compliance. Develops and maintains long range forest management plans that are refined through the ID team process into viable timber sale contracts. The forester may serve as a member of an ID team that develops and designs projects for the forest management program.
