The WR COFE Jerry Sedlak Memorial Scholarship will be funded through sales of sponsor update sessions at the WR COFE annual meeting, a raffle of donated items at the WR COFE annual meeting, and cash donations.
Scholarship Description and Application Criteria
The Western Region of the Council on Forest Engineering (WR.COFE) sponsors $1,500 scholarships for OSU College of Forestry undergraduate students currently enrolled in either FE, FOM or FE/CE. The number of scholarships to be awarded in a given year will be determined by the WR COFE executive committee. Scholarships will be awarded at the January WR COFE annual meeting (Winter Term) for the student’s educational costs including tuition, fees and books.
Other scholarship application criteria include the following:
Class standing: Sophomore, Junior or Senior
Full Time Student
Minimum College Accumulated GPA: 2.75
The WR COFE Executive Committee will appoint members, who also hold faculty positions in the OSU College of Forestry, to the Jerry Sedlak Memorial Scholarship review committee. The Jerry Selak Memorial Scholarship review committee will review applications from qualifying students and recommend students for the awards.
