The Southern Region Council on Forest Engineering (SRCOFE) will hold a joint meeting with the Southeastern Region Forest Resources Association (FRA) on March 13, 2024, from 8 am–noon at the Lodge at Wakulla Springs, which is near Tallahassee, FL.
You will have the opportunity to register for SRCOFE only or for both the SRCOFE and FRA meetings. The FRA meeting will be held March 12–14. SRCOFE members are eligible to register for the FRA meeting at the FRA member rate. More information about the meeting can be found on the FRA website. Registration should be going live within the next week or two.
The theme for the SRCOFE meeting will be “Developing Forest Operations Solutions for the Challenges of Tomorrow.” Presentations on timber harvesting and transportation efficiency, water and site quality impacts of timber harvesting, bioenergy, and other aspects of forest operations are welcome.
Please send me (jlconrad@uga.edu) your presentation title and a brief description by close of business on February 13, 2024. Once I receive the presentation proposals, I will determine presentation lengths and post the schedule of talks. I expect 15–20-minute talks will work well given the usual number of attendees and the meeting length.
