The Southern Regional COFE (SR.COFE) group focuses on forest operations and engineering issues in the southern USA.
Members in the states of AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, KY, MD, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WV are considered to be in the southern regional group.

The Southern Region Council on Forest Engineering (SRCOFE) will be holding a joint meeting with the Southeastern Region Forest Resources Association (FRA). The FRA meeting will be held April 26–28th, with the SRCOFE portion the morning of April 28th (Thursday). You will have the option to register for and attend both the FRA and COFE meetings, or the SRCOFE meeting only.
The meeting will be held in Clemson, SC, with a mix of regular COFE attendees as well as FRA members from industry. The general theme for the SRCOFE meeting will be “Sustainable Solutions to Supply Chain Challenges”. Presentations will cover topics on timber harvesting and transportation efficiency, water and site quality impacts of timber harvesting, bioenergy, and other aspects of forest operations.

The Florida Division SAF, UF School of Forest Resources and Conservation, Association of Consulting Foresters and Southern Regional Council on Forest Engineering are hosting a one and one half day conference that will be of interest to COFE members in the Southern US.
The theme of the 43rd Annual Spring Symposium is "Innovations in Timber Harvesting and Utilization"
The dates are May 13-14, 2015 at the Austin Cary Forest Learning Center in Gainesville, Florida.
