First Call for Papers 2017 Annual Meeting - Bangor Maine

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS, PAPERS, POSTERS
AT THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL ON FOREST ENGINEERING (COFE) ANNUAL CONFERENCE
BANGOR, MAINE, JULY 30-AUGUST 2, 2017

Conference organizers are inviting abstracts from academics, researchers, forestry professionals, students and others interested in forest engineering and operations.  Submit an abstract describing your work and elect to offer an oral presentation, full paper, or poster using the format for abstract submission on the www.cofe.org website.  The general theme of the meeting is: “Forest Engineering, from Where We’ve Been, to Where We’re Going.” Topics of special interest to the professionals attending the meeting also include: New Harvesting Technologies; Workforce Safety, Health and Availability; Environmental Issues of Roads and Logging; Planning and Assessment Technologies; and Issues of the Supply Chain and Transportation.  Other topics of interest will receive full consideration.

Please indicate if your abstract is intended for a full paper, oral presentation or for a poster. If you are submitting your abstract for a full paper,  indicate if you are a student and would like to have your paper considered for the Student Communication Award (http://cofe.org/index.php/awards/student-communication-award).

Accepted full papers will be published as 2017 COFE Annual Conference Proceedings on the internet.  Authors and presenters are solely responsible for the content and grammar of their submissions.  The COFE Program Committee will evaluate your submission.  We look forward to your abstract and attendance at INTERNATIONAL COFE 2017!

Registration is now open for 2016 COFE Annual Meeting in Vancouver BC.  The meeting registration is being handled by the Canadian Institute of Forestry (Institut Forestier du Canada)  and can be found at the following link:

2016 COFE Annual Meeting Call for Papers

COFE will meet as part of the DEMO International 2016 Technical Conference: Adapting to a new reality.

DEMO 2016 is pleased to host the Council on Forest Engineering (COFE) 2016 Annual Meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver BC. In addition to a diverse technical program and the COFE Annual Meeting, DEMO 2016 will host the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Institute of Forestry (CIF), and coordinate interesting and informative pre and post conference field trips.

The conference will occur in conjunction with Demo International® 2016, which will be held on September 22-24, 2016 at the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest. Over the course of the conference seven individual themes will offer a diverse and comprehensive program presenting an opportunity for conference participants to discuss timely issues affecting different areas of forestry.

This event along with the networking opportunity and its affiliation with DEMO International® 2016 will attract well over 350 forest practitioners and members of the fibre supply chain from across North America and abroad.
 
Please consider submitting a paper abstract to be included in the COFE Annual Meeting program.
