M.S. and Ph.D. Assistantships in Forest Operations - Virginia Tech - Blacksburg, VA

The Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation at Virginia Tech is searching for high quality M.S. or Ph.D.level graduate students to conduct research regarding forest operations Specifically, projects will focus on the effectiveness of water quality best management practices throughout the southeastern US. Students should have strong backgrounds and interest in applied forestry and field data collection. Positions are available beginning Fall Semester 2018. This full-time (20 hours per week) assistantship with stipend includes a waiver of academic-year tuition. In addition, Virginia Tech offers enhanced benefits to graduate students on assistantship by providing a partial subsidy for health insurance. Comprehensive and technology fees are the responsibility of the student.
