Research Engineer - USFS, Auburn, AL

This Research Engineer position is located at the G.W. Andrews Forestry Sciences Lab on the Forest Operations Research Work Unit of the Southern Research Station in Auburn, Alabama. The Forest Operations Research Work Unit’s mission is ‘to provide the science and technology necessary for economically and ecologically viable forest operations for sustainable forest management’.  The Unit operates under the broader Science Area of Forest Values, Uses and Policies within the Southern Research Station.

The incumbent for this position will initiate and conduct basic and applied research activities in support of the Forest Operations Research Work Unit.

Final grade level may be determined by a peer review panel.
