His lifetime contributions to the forest operations and engineering profession are phenomenal and have made profound impacts on today’s forest operations practices across the world. His endeavors and accomplishments in forest engineering are exemplary in all aspects of education, extension, research, development, and administration. Dr. Kellogg has served the Forest Engineering Department at Oregon State University in various capacities since 1978. Currently he is the Lematta Professor of Forest Engineering. He been truly instrumental in developing and maintaining the forest engineering program in many different countries over the life of his professional career, including Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and South Korea. He has also served in a leadership role with IUFRO for the last 23 years and COFE in various capacities for many years. Dr. Kellogg's contributions to international forestry are further proven by the Fulbright Specialist Award he received in 2012 for his development of forest operations management education in Australia and an Honorary Principal Fellow position he held at the University of Melbourne.
